Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Following ethical standards ensures the quality of an article. Many people with specific processes are involved in publishing a manuscript, and people receive credit for their work and ideas. Acquaint publications intend to support the integrity of publications, so we ask our authors, editors, reviewers, and scholars involved in assorted stages of publication to follow the ethical guidelines to improve the value of academic publishing.

  • With respect to the authors

Acquaint looks ahead to authors to submit work that is not under consideration for peer review elsewhere; agree with/without the article processing charges once informed. If any findings of inaccuracy or significant errors in an article, the author should cooperate to correct the paper to increase its scientific value. We do not encourage scientific misconduct, unethical publishing behavior by submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal, devoid of originality in an article or representing plagiarized data, authors failing to provide disclosures and conflicts of interest or duplication of text or figures. In respect to editors hold the responsibility to make a precise decision in the publication of articles, be confidential in protecting the original content, have fair play in evaluating the manuscript, and cooperate if any ethical complaints are presented for the submitted manuscripts.

The author must guarantee the originality of the paper submitted for publishing. The article should not have been previously published and should be considered for publishing elsewhere. In the case of derivations, proper citations and quotes must be included to attribute credit to the original author.

The author must produce original work with accurate data and not misinform others. The author must include detailed information for others to reproduce or cite. Authors are accountable for including artwork or information in their research without copyrights. They must obtain written permission from the original author to have their works and acknowledge their contribution to the study through citation.

  • With respect to reviewers

Contribution to editorial decisions, promptness in informing the editor if they feel unqualified for review or unable to give a prompt review, treating the manuscripts as confidential documents, and maintaining standards of objectivity by expressing their views. Reviewers are not encouraged to misuse the original content for their research conduct.

Reviewers are advised to submit the manuscripts within the specified period to avoid delay in publishing the article. Additionally, reviewers must carefully choose the manuscripts and avoid reviewing work they are unqualified for. It is the reviewer’s responsibility to openly express their concerns and opinions to the author to improve the standard of their work. The reviewers should, at all times, refrain from discussing the article or revealing the identity of the author to anybody. The article is a highly confidential document and must be treated so by reviewers.

If you come across similar content about the manuscript under review in a published article, please immediately raise attention to the concerned editor to avoid plagiarism of work and protect the integrity of our publication.
