Dr. M. Maghimaa is an Assistant Professor with FIFTEEN years of teaching and research experience in the Department of Microbiology at Muthayammal College of Arts and Science (A Unit of VANETRA group), Rasipuram, Namakkal DT. Tamilnadu, India, where she has been a faculty member since 2005. She received her Ph.D. in Microbiology from Periyar University in 2014. Her research interests cover several aspects across microbiology and biotechnology, with a special focus on nanotechnology.  She is the author and co-author of more than 19 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 25 conference contributions. She has given several invited/plenary talks at international conferences. She has received several important recognitions for her research career, including DBT (NewDelhi, India) major research project grants (Rs 800,000), five TNSCST (Chennai, India) minor projects (Rs 50,000), core member of DBT (NewDelhi, India) star scheme for her institution (Rs.104 000,000), DST–FIST (NewDelhi) (Rs.42,000,000) and currently leading a research project of TNSCST (DST-Grant).  She nurtures a keen interest in designing and implementing knowledge-sharing platforms for the benefit of the scientific community, faculty, scholars, and students, including DBT Sponsored Foldscope Workshops (40 Nos), National seminars, conferences and many twinning programs.  She has produced M.phil scholars and guiding a Mphil and four Ph.d scholars.
